Earned a rare joint Ph.D. in Business Management and in Mass Communications Advertising/Public Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, accepted to first class of the graduate master's program in public affairs at the Lyndon B. Johnson School, University of Texas-Austin and a bachelors' degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Commerce.
