John is active with the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP), the Boy Scouts of America, serving as the District Chair for the Appalachian Trail District, Atlanta Area Council. He is also involved with the Cherokee County, GA, Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), the Southeastern Continuity Planners Association (SCPA) and National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
