He teaches specialty specific coding and documentation courses for McVey Associates, Inc, in Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Coding, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He works with various American College of Cardiology state branches, American College of Chest Physicians and teaches ICD-10-CM coding for these as well as other specialties.
He has substantial experience in managing single and multi-specialty group practices. He has served as the Administrator of a large multi-specialty group and Director of Practice Management/Vice President of the largest MSO in Northern California.
His unique ability to relate to the clinical environment brings great value in resolving medical practice management issues and brings a straight-forward, common sense approach to issues encountered by practices.
He has a BHS and MHS-Physician Assistant and a MHA in Practice Administration. He is a Certified Coding Specialist for physician services with AHIMA and has Multi-specialty coding certifications and Healthcare Coding Instructor certifications with PAHCS and is a Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant.
